Hotel U Brány is located in the center of Uhersky Brod. The detached hotel building is adjacent to the city park. The hotel is only about 200 m from the train and bus station. On the "main" Masaryk Square, which is only about 250 m from the hotel, you can admire the town hall with Černý Janek, the fountain with St. Florian, the church by Domenico Martinelli and the obelisk of Via Lucis or the famous Jan Amos Comenius Museum. Then you can relax in the new water park Delfín, located about 300 m from the hotel. And don't forget to look at the 100-year-old fresco on the south side of our hotel.

ACCOMMODATION AND RESTAURANT

The hotel offers three-star accommodation in the renovated historic part of the building and also accommodation in a new modern four-star extension, awarded in the competition "House of the Year". Internet (WiFi) is available in the entire hotel free of charge. All rooms come with a seating area, a flat-screen TV, a desk and a private bathroom with a shower. SUPERIOR rooms are equipped with the best beds, a large TV, as well as a quiet refrigerator and a kettle for coffee and tea. A rich breakfast is served here each morning, mostly in buffet form or on request as a breakfast package. The hotel has 3 restaurants - a historic old restaurant with lounge, a large new restaurant for up to 120 people and a brick wine bar in the basement.

Currently (to protect our guests) the hotel operates in GARNI mode with breakfast. Beer, wine and soft drinks, biscuits, salads, etc. you can buy at the reception and take it to your room - that is why we have now equipped most rooms with a refrigerator.

HOTEL HISTORY

Hotel U Brány was built on the site of the Lower Gate for centuries, also called Nivnická. The gate was 26 m high and 10 m wide. It was the tallest and strongest of all the city gates, supposedly "because it was made of wine in mortar. This is probably the highest gate, which is depicted on the city seal from 1297 and on the current emblem of the city. At the end of the 19th century, an inn was built on the site of the gate, which was later converted into a hotel. The builder was Josef Jirásek, a relative of the writer Alois Jirásek. Today, the turbulent history of the city is commemorated by a memorial fresco from 1920 on the south side of the hotel building. In 1997 the hotel was renovated and in 2002-2004 expanded with a new building. In 2004, the hotel received the "House of the Year" award.
